Citrus Punch Nail Art

Aloha! I'm feeling like I'm in Hawaii sipping on some fruit punch filled with orange slices! But wait, it gets even better! I'm actually here in the Caribbean, on the island of Trinidad at Maracas Beach. Today's nail art is super simple with a bright pop of color as french tips made even brighter with the bursts of fruity fun fimo slices from BornPrettyStore.

Get the Look:
1. Apply two coats of a nude base color to all nails except the accent nail. I'm using Zoya Avery; two coats.
2. Using NYC In a New York Color Minute nail polish in Spring Street apply a french tip to all the nails. Do a full color nail for the accent.
3. Using Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy, apply a light coat all over the areas where you applied Spring Street.
4. At this point you can seal in with a top coat (my favorite being Seche Vite)
5. Apply your BornPrettyStore fruit fimo slice to accent your base design. (Use my coupon code BBEEJ61 for a 10% discount)

Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
