Being Me, Being Bee

Hello everyone, I'm very excited to be back to my blog. You see when I initially started in 2011, my interests and intentions for the blog were very different to where I am at now in my life. I just wanted to get my blog known. I wanted to make a name for myself. But I've evolved. I'm happy in who I am and I know who made me. I'm no longer interested in doing a post because I have to get a product review out or because it's been too long between posts. I want to just be me; be Bellezza Bee. Someone who wants to share my beautiful life and part of this world with you.

So let me start by saying I still do love beauty products. I still love nail art. But I also love singing, music, tea, coffee, food, my twin island paradise of Trinidad & Tobago and my Jesus. My faith keeps me strong, determined and smiling, My family is a lifeline. My weekends feel so short but I enjoy every minute of it, even with all the chores. I don't need makeup to feel beautiful but yet still I love wearing it. I love seeing the transformation it brings, like a butterfly coming out of its cocoon.

I've recently rediscovered my love for high heels. Being short and having a boyfriend who is taller, makes me feel more confident as I slip myself into a pair. I mastered the art of walking in heels since I was a teenager but now I aim to find ones that are more comfortable. Think Piccadilly or De Nulce conforto.

As for makeup, I've been appreciating our local brands and products. I try to #SupportLocal business places to keep our economic vibrant and since it stimulates more of what we as a people can do with our talents. I'm in love once again with Sacha Cosmetics and visit their Image centres quite often, not just to buy new things but for an eyebrow wax or two. Caramia is introducing new items and it's amazing that the colours look absolutely amazing on my skin tone. I'm so proud of Ambrosia Cosmetics getting into skin care. Oh my I love their new soaps and the sugar scrub is just yummy. Reviews are coming soon!

There is so much going on in our country and in the world so I am making time for prayer. Yes, it works. I have so many testimonies of the goodness of God, I can write a book and plan to share some of those here with you. He is so wonderful to me.

I can't stop smiling. I have so much to be grateful. Here's to life. While I'm now on a different part from where I've started, I'm just being me, being Bellezza Bee.

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
