What could be better than having a clutch designed for you with your input and then named after you? Well nothing of course! And this was exactly what I got with this local designer and entrepreneur; K.Fensom Trinidad.
I fell in love with local products. I mean it feels absolutely fabulous to be supporting local businesses that make great products and have great service too! Today's feature is handmade soaps and hair butter from the lovely and talented Ann Malina. It's not her real name but a pen name incorporating part of the real thing.
Good-day everyone! So besides loving beauty products, I'm a totally food junkie and Caribbean girl at heart. I am in no way a food expert or fabulous cook but it does take time and experimenting with recipes and ingredients to create master pieces. I am therefore starting a new series cooking my way through local cookbooks to see what I can come up with. Today's recipe is a simple one where I'm recreating from the famous Naparima Girls' High School Cookbook which has been a staple of cookbooks in my kitchen.
Hello beautiful! Today I'm with another local startup company that is making the world a better place with their sensational bath and body products. The products were all tried and tested to ensure the formulas and scent combinations work for their clientele in this sometimes hot climate. I adore the fact that she uses ingredients that remind you of the Caribbean; like coconut and orange.
Scrub away those dead lip cells! Such a simple and sweet beauty product can revolutionize your life and it did for mine! Ambrosia Cosmetics is a beauty supply store right here in Trinidad that is also in the business of making products that would suit the Caribbean clientele. I started off with their lust dust eye-shadow pigments a long time ago and now I'm venturing into their skin and body care lines. Let's see how sweet we can get with these sweet lips.
Besides the shopping, you can't leave China without memories to last a lifetime focused solely on the food. I'm still dreaming about the wonderful tastes, textures and overall delight of the goodness I've experienced in my short stay. I had the opportunity to stay at the Binhai Grand Hotel in Wenzhou and a buffet breakfast (6 to 10am) was included. Let's talk about hotel food!
Gold, gold, gold. Oh how I love thee! This is a colour that I can wear year round. From shoes to clothing and jewelry, then of course I can use it in nail art. Today's design is simple with a gold on gold concept for all the gold lovers out there like myself. This look was inspired by nail art seen worn by Katy Perry for the Met Gala 2013.
So after I got over my flying fear, I was in the land of my forefathers: China. I'm part Indian and part Chinese and I was intrigued to see what this place was all about. Even though I was there on work mode, I absorbed it all in like I was a tourist on vacation. The people were fascinating and truly hardworking from the young to the old. Everyone was busy doing something. Contrary to what I had heard China is quite a modern place and the architecture was amazing.
Aloha! I'm feeling like I'm in Hawaii sipping on some fruit punch filled with orange slices! But wait, it gets even better! I'm actually here in the Caribbean, on the island of Trinidad at Maracas Beach. Today's nail art is super simple with a bright pop of color as french tips made even brighter with the bursts of fruity fun fimo slices from BornPrettyStore.
I remember that flight clearly. It was one that changed the way I felt about flying. I was on my return trip from Canada and we were passing through some horrible weather. The vibrations of the plane were enough to make me panic. It didn't help when I saw lighting bolts and heavy rain right outside my window. In such circumstances even an atheist would start to pray. So earlier this year when the opportunity to travel half way around the whole to China came my way, I definitely wasn't seeing it as such. I panicked. Let someone else go. But what would life be without challenges and I needed to face this fear once and for all.
Bright and colourful are two words that I carry with me year round since I'm in the part of the world where every day can be sunny. The art of tie dye for clothing is quite popular here but this is my spin on what else but nail art. It is quite simple to do, so follow along my pictorial to try this out for yourself.
Hello everyone, I'm very excited to be back to my blog. You see when I initially started in 2011, my interests and intentions for the blog were very different to where I am at now in my life. I just wanted to get my blog known. I wanted to make a name for myself. But I've evolved. I'm happy in who I am and I know who made me. I'm no longer interested in doing a post because I have to get a product review out or because it's been too long between posts. I want to just be me; be Bellezza Bee. Someone who wants to share my beautiful life and part of this world with you.
