BusyGirlNails Winter Nail Art Challenge Week 4: I'm So Blue

Blue, oh so lonesome without you! Is that a song? Probably is! I'm very Blue today but not in a sad way. This easy nail art design is very cheery and can brighten up your day! All you would need is a bright blue base color and contrasting blue accent colors for the stripes with a pop of glitter.

Did you notice that I've changed my nail shape back to ovals? I seem to have more fun with this shape.

Nail Tutorial:
1. Paint your base coat and then two coats of Cailyn Cosmetics nail polish #818. Allow to dry fully.
2. Next using a small striper brush and contrasting colors of blue acrylic paint draw on slanted lines on your nail bed.
3. Use an assortment of thicknesses for the lines to add dimension.
4. Add a pop of glitter to accent the design
5. Seal in with your favorite top coat :)

Stay tuned for the week 5 challenge: Valentine's Day!

I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water.
