BusyGirlNails Winter Nail Art Challenge Week 3: Glitter Heart

I've literally been quite the Busy Girl this week and I can finally get my Glitter challenge done for week 3 of the BusyGirlNails winter challenge. What says "I love you" more than glitter, well to a nail lover anyway :)

Nail  Art Tutorial:
1. Apply your base coat and then 3 coats of Nicole by OPI in Rainbow in the S-Kylie. Do this for all your nails except your accent nail.
2. For the accent nail, apply two coats of OPI Italian Love Affair and allow to dry fully. Apply a top coat to speed up the drying time.
3. Using tape, cut out a heart shape to fit on your accent nail. Take off some of the stickiness so that the tape just barely adheres to the nail but without taking off the polish underneath when it is removed.
4. Place the tape in the middle of the accent nail and then fill in the heart cut out with your glitter polish. Move around the glitter so it fills in the shape.
5. Remove the tape immediately to reveal your glitter heart shape underneath.
6. For some definition, use pink acrylic paint to highlight your heart. Seal in with your favorite top coat.

Stay tuned for the week 4 challenge: Blue!

Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
