Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Silver Valentine

It's the finale of this Californails January nail art challenge and I feel super accomplished that I was able to finish it all! One challenge done for this year already and it's still 11 more months to go! Silver is a color I don't use very often in my nail designs so this was indeed a challenge for me. I also had a string of bad luck with stamping lately so I decided to give it a go again. Combining silver, stamping, and something sweet I now present to you my Silver Valentine.

Nail Tutorial:
1. Start off with a base coat and two coats of Wet N Wild Black Creme. Allow to dry fully. Apply a fast drying top coat if needed to speed up the drying process.
2. Using my Winstonia Plate W102 and Milani PC Girl nail polish, stamp on the angel and the kissing couple on your middle two nails.
3. Using silver acrylic paint go ahead and add heart shapes, either filled in or just the outlines.
4. Add dot outlines to your hearts in some areas.
5. Finish off with your favorite top coat. Voila!

Stay tuned for more nail art challenges in 2014!

Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
