BusyGirlNails Winter Nail Art Challenge Week 2: White Polkadot Tips

My nail art idol has to be Robin Moses! I love her designs which range from super easy to extremely intricate. This design was inspired by one of her recent nail art called Black and White Daisies. I plan to recreate the original soon but for now these are some easy chevron tips for week 2 of this winter challenge.

For the base nude I used CND Vinylux in Impossible Plush; 2 coats. Using black acrylic paint outline your chevron shape at the tips. Fill in with eithe white acrylic paint or a white polish like China Glaze White on White. Once that is complete go back in with your black acrylic paint and apply dot to the white tips. Add an accent dot flower if desired. Finish with your favorite top coat.

Are you attempting this challenge? Stay tuned for week 3 of this Busy Girl Nails challenge; theme GLITTER! See what the Busy Girl Hosts; @drinkcitra, @beautybyarielle, @mirandasmakeup, @fiercemakeupandnails and @marijonails achieved with this week's designs.

Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
