BusyGirlNails Winter Nail Art Challenge Week 2: White Polkadot Tips

My nail art idol has to be Robin Moses! I love her designs which range from super easy to extremely intricate. This design was inspired by one of her recent nail art called Black and White Daisies. I plan to recreate the original soon but for now these are some easy chevron tips for week 2 of this winter challenge.

For the base nude I used CND Vinylux in Impossible Plush; 2 coats. Using black acrylic paint outline your chevron shape at the tips. Fill in with eithe white acrylic paint or a white polish like China Glaze White on White. Once that is complete go back in with your black acrylic paint and apply dot to the white tips. Add an accent dot flower if desired. Finish with your favorite top coat.

Are you attempting this challenge? Stay tuned for week 3 of this Busy Girl Nails challenge; theme GLITTER! See what the Busy Girl Hosts; @drinkcitra, @beautybyarielle, @mirandasmakeup, @fiercemakeupandnails and @marijonails achieved with this week's designs.

I Found You NYX Cosmetics

He thought he could hide from me forever, but boy was he mistaken! The mighty NYX cosmetics booth that was hiding in Long Circular Mall, Trinidad got trapped by a skillful makeup addict! Me!!!! Now give me some great customer service will you! Yes please and yes that is what I got here! In addition, you don’t have to wait 6 months before recently launched items from NYX cosmetics are available. These people have it down when it comes to ensuring all the new and existing items are there for you! Everything I asked for was available to me to buy! And Yes I got some goodies! How could I not? I have been in a blush craze lately so why not try my first blush from NYX, Desert Rose. The new xtreme lip creams were available so I…

Hot Milk Sponge Cake with Fresh Fruit & Coconut

In today's yummy post we are doing an easy sponge cake (no creaming of butter and sugar involved). Instead of torting this cake we are using two loaf pans to give us our two layers, which we will pull together with vanilla buttercream. I love the rectangular look of this cake rather than the traditional round or square but more importantly the flavors of the toasted coconut on the sides and fresh fruit on top makes for a mouth watering dessert.
