Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Silver Valentine

It's the finale of this Californails January nail art challenge and I feel super accomplished that I was able to finish it all! One challenge done for this year already and it's still 11 more months to go! Silver is a color I don't use very often in my nail designs so this was indeed a challenge for me. I also had a string of bad luck with stamping lately so I decided to give it a go again. Combining silver, stamping, and something sweet I now present to you my Silver Valentine.

Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Valentine's Stripes

Oh Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I'm celebrating this year with red, pink and white with a dash of hearts in my nail art design. I recreated my Teal Stripe gradient nails for this fun and girly version.

Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Denim Jean OOTD inspired with tutorial

What are you wearing today? Give me a chance and I will wear jeans or denim everyday! But I usually reserve it for Casual Fridays and Slouchy Saturdays :) Today's nail art post gives you a design inspired by my newest pair of dark denim jeans with a bonus of my tutorial to achieve the look yourself.

BusyGirlNails Winter Nail Art Challenge Week 2: White Polkadot Tips

My nail art idol has to be Robin Moses! I love her designs which range from super easy to extremely intricate. This design was inspired by one of her recent nail art called Black and White Daisies. I plan to recreate the original soon but for now these are some easy chevron tips for week 2 of this winter challenge.

Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Studs

A short and sweet post for you today. It's a candy inspired design using stripes and studs for this, my latest in the Californails nailartjan challenge.

Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Swirly Sweets

Oh I have a bad sweet tooth. I eat everything from chocolates and candy to cakes and cookies. The best part about it is that they don't add a lot of weight to the waistline (just yet). For today's nail art design I am taking inspiration from candy and those awesome swirls found in peppermints and other hard sweets as well as those huge lollipops.

Californails Nail Art January Challenge 2014: Teal Dot Gradient

Welcome my little beauty bees! I've really been enjoying this monthly challenge from Californails for January 2014 and today's post takes on a favorite nail art category for me: the gradient. Since I've already done a sponge gradient in my Las Vegas nails and a stripe gradient in my Teal Striper nails I decided to do a simple dot gradient to round out my gradient nails done already for this challenge.

Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Green Green Grass

Today's theme is Nature and my interpretation of this is the color green that can be found in the trees and grasses, flowers and forest. I'm using one of my favorite green nail polish colors: China Glaze Def Defying which is a gorgeous yellow green, that is bright and vibrant reflecting to me how life is in nature.

Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Pastel Blue Flowers

Pastel blue was apparently a color I didn't really have in my ever growing polish collection. I tend to like darker shades of blue and turquoise. So that gave me an excuse to go polish shopping just to get me a bottle of pastel blue :)

Californails January Nail Art Challenge: Criss Cross Pattern

A super quick and blue post today to show off my third design in the Californails NailArtJan challenge. Today's inspiration is from a pattern and I've been really practicing drawing straight lines so I've done a criss cross pattern focused on the tips with a pink diamond for some interest.

Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Las Vegas Sparkles

What sparkles more than the lights of Las Vegas? Well I could probably add a few things but let's just stick with this for now :) You all should know by now how I love gradient nails and I usually do it with polishes and makeup sponges. Earlier this week I did gradient nails using striper brush strokes and today I will be attempting a new way of achieving gradient nails using loose glitter. My muse is NYX Glitter to Go in Las Vegas.

Easy Nail Art designs using Striper Brushes

So let's get 2014 started with not one, not two but twelve new nail art designs all created with striper brushes. For the base colors and art I am using a mixture of nail polishes and acrylic paints.

Californails January Nail Art Challenge 2014: Fresh Ocean Breeze

Hey everyone! So one of my new year's resolutions is to do more nail art and more nail tutorials so you guys can join in with me. Here is one for January 2014 hosted by the talented Californails. Today's design was with the theme FRESH so I created my design with what came to mind as fresh, the ocean breeze and this is my interpretation of that. It's basically a teal to white stripe gradient.
