Abstract Fireworks Nail Art

Countdown is on for the New Year 2014! I just love watching the sky light up with fireworks to celebrate and bring in the new year. Today's design is some simple abstract fireworks to ring in 2014.

To get this look:
1. Use a sparkly black base nail polish like L.A Girl 3D in Black Illusion. Two coats for complete coverage. All to dry fully.
2. Using a combination of colors in acrylic paints and a small striper brush create star burst radiating out from various areas. I used a combination of soft red, pink blue, and silver.
3. Add a few dots at the end of the bursts.
4. Complete with a top coat to seal in your design! Voila.

Happy Holidays!

I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
