Beauty Shopping in Toronto, Canada

I'm back safely on my home soil and had an amazing time on my vacation. Canada is such a huge land mass with endless possibilities for fun, shopping and relaxation. I recommend doing a Toronto city pass which allows you access to 5 major attractions; Toronto Zoo, CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, Casa Loma and Ontario Science Center. Be sure to take your comfy walking shoes because your feet will need them! As for the beauty part of my vacation, well there was so much to see, so many new brands for me to experience and so many beauty destinations to explore. Join me as I share part of my amazing trip with you.

So let's dive straight into the shopping destinations!

1. Shopper's Drug Mart: I'm obsessed with this place and I did spend hours just browsing the well organised beauty aisles and displays. What I appreciated here was that they carried local Canadian brands as well like Gosh Cosmetics, Annabelle and Quo.

2. Murale: It's an extension of Shopper's Drug Mart but catering to more high end brands.

3. Sally's Beauty Supply: I had to use the GPS to get to the nearest store in Eglinton but it was all worth it. While I naturally gravitated towards the nail section, they were well stocked with a enough for the makeup and hair lovers.
Here I stocked up on some new brands of nail polish to me like Fingerpaints, Poshe, Stripe Rite while they also carried China Glaze, Orly, Seche.

4. Trade Secrets: The secret is uncovered! This was another polish paradise for me with even more new brands to discover: Zoya, CND Vinylux, Misa with other brands like Orly, OPI. Besides being a retail store you can get yourself a hair makeover while at it.

5. Walmart: You might be wondering about this one but when you don't have it, you appreciate it so much more! I love Walmart for having a huge variety of affordable brands. I always spending hours browsing their beauty displays, drooling over Revlon, Wet N Wild, Loreal, NYC and now I've discovered Pure Ice and Hard Candy.

6. Sephora: Oh how I love Sephora! It's has to be one of my most favourite beauty destinations when visiting Canada and the USA.

7. The Bay: Ahh, another shopper's paradise with some more focus on not just makeup but skincare lines and perfumes. And if not for you, browse the clothing and shoe sections.

Well these are just a few places that I love shopping when in Toronto but you can also find beauty products at flea markets and I also found some wonderful deals at the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition). Just have a good time! Until I meet you again Toronto!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
