I ♥ Nail Polish TAG

Tag you're it! Today's post is just for fun and let's you in on some of my nail polish favourites. Join in now :)

1. Favorite base coat?
Honestly I don't have a favorite but I do use Jordana Calcium Boost often since I like the gel like texture and blue tinted color. I've also been testing out Sinful Colors Basecoat and so far I love the texture and soft color it gives.

2. Favorite top coat?
Seche Vite! I've tried many others but always go back to this one. If you're a Trinidadian you can get this at Wonderful World or T&T Beauty Supply Ltd

3. Top 3 favorite nail polish brands?
China Glaze, Kleancolor and Orly. But honestly I have a ton more brands that I love, like Sacha Cosmetics, L.A Colors, OPI, Sally Hansen, just to name a few more :)

4. How often do you paint your nails?
At least once a week. I can do it every day if I had the time though. But as a nail blogger I can do up to 5 designs a day for my blog posts.

5. Favorite neutral nail polish?
I love Sacha Cosmetics Barefoot in the Sand. It's a creamy sandy color that is not as harsh as pure white and so looks gorgeous with my darker complexion.
Other honorable mentions include China Glaze Classic Caramel or Kalahari Kiss.

6. Pink or red nail polishes?
I would hate to choose! But if I must then I will go with the classic and timeless red nail polish which was a favorite of both my mom and grandmom. China Glaze Ruby Pumps and I have done endless designs together! It's my go to red. Another favorite red is Kleancolor Jewelry Red.

7. Glitter or matte nail polish?
Glitter all the way! I'm loving the Gem Crush from Sally Hansen.

8. Your go-to nail polish at the moment?
I have been into nude colors lately and feel in love with CND Vinylux Impossible Plush, Zoya Avery and Essence Cafe Ole.

9. What's on your nails now? Color/ us :D
My nails are bare at the moment since I am allowing them some downtime while I conjure up some designs in my mind for the blog. Stay tuned for that!!!

10. If you had nail polish line how would you name it?
Chiodi De Bellezza which would mean "Beauty nails" in Italian.

Hope you had fun! Feel free to share your nail polish favourites and nail polish tags with me :)

I Found You NYX Cosmetics

He thought he could hide from me forever, but boy was he mistaken! The mighty NYX cosmetics booth that was hiding in Long Circular Mall, Trinidad got trapped by a skillful makeup addict! Me!!!! How could he have avoided me for almost 2 years? Being a northeast girl means venturing into POS and environs is only when I really have to. I hadn’t visited this Mall in about 2 years which was the timeframe given to me as to how long this booth has been in the mall.
Now give me some great customer service will you! Yes please and yes that is what I got here! In addition, you don’t have to wait 6 months before recently launched items from NYX cosmetics are available. These people have it down when it comes to ensuring all the new and existing items are there for you! Everything I asked for was available to me to buy! And Yes I got some goodies! How could I not? I have been in a blush craze lately so why not try my first blush from NYX, Desert Rose. The new xtreme lip creams were available so I…

Hot Milk Sponge Cake with Fresh Fruit & Coconut

In today's yummy post we are doing an easy sponge cake (no creaming of butter and sugar involved). Instead of torting this cake we are using two loaf pans to give us our two layers, which we will pull together with vanilla buttercream. I love the rectangular look of this cake rather than the traditional round or square but more importantly the flavors of the toasted coconut on the sides and fresh fruit on top makes for a mouth watering dessert.

Wilton Royal Icing Recipe & Tip 21

Welcome back everyone! Today I'm sharing my replication of the Wilton method to making Royal Icing and some simple decorations you can make with the Wilton tip 21. This is an open star tip and can be paired with a simple leaf tip like a Wilton 352 to make small drop flowers.
