Claire's Electric Neons

I'm  making my way through all the new nail polishes from my vacation haul! Here is another new brand of nail polish for me; Claire's Cosmetics and her Electric Neon minis paired with a matte top coat.

Neons are naturally matte compared to regular polishes but I added Claire's matte top coat for a totally matte finish. The electric neon set comes with 5 colors at 7.5ml each while the full size top coat is 15ml.

I found that I needed 3 coats of polish for a smooth finish and just like most neons the formula can be a bit difficult to apply since it dries so quickly. The matte top coat goes on super shiny but dries down fast to the matte finish.

Just for some fun I just added some colorful dots using all 5 colors. This reminds me of the circus! Stay tuned for more new nail polish brands and nail art :)

Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
