4th of July Stripes for a Busy Girl's Summer Nail Challenge

Hello beautiful! I'm a big fan of nail challenges and so it was an honor to be invited by the lovely DrinkCitra to the Busy Girl's Summer Nail Challenge! I also love doing nail art with a special theme for a holiday and so today's design is combining the two elements of the challenge which for week one is stripes as well as the American Independence holiday!

If you are interested in joining this summer nail challenge, you can find all the details below. Come on in and join us!

My design utilizes three polishes all from L.A.Colors.
White: Color Craze nail polish in Energy Source NP402
Red: Art Deco nail art lacquer in Red
Blue: Art Deco nail art lacquer in Sapphire

I used three coats of the white for a base color. Once this was completely dry I used the red and blue stripper brush polishes and interchanged each stripe on the white base. For the accent finger I did a chevron pattern tip and added some simple red and blue stars to complete the design inspired by the American flag.

Bonus: Follow my blog also on Bloglovin since GFC is now obsolete :)

Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
