Road trip to Starlite Pharmacy

Hola Bellezza! Hop in the car and let me show you my latest beauty find right here in Trinidad &Tobago. This blog is dedicated to bringing you information on what beauty products and destinations are available here for us beauty babes, so it is my pleasure to show you my experience and discoveries made at Starlite Pharmacy.

There are currently two locations: Maraval and Diego Martin. I visited the store in Maraval. It's on Saddle Road, opposite the Shoppes of Maraval. You certainly can't miss the store; it's a huge, modern building with a spacious car park. I loved the window theme pictures which made me feel like I was truly in the right place for beauty.

I was overwhelmed by how spacious the inside of the store was and the fact that you were greeted by warm staff who was very willing to assist with anything. I actually needed some help for some of the polishes and help was indeed what I got. The lovely lady assisted with getting me testers and answered any question posed to her.

So let's get on with what wonderful array of products are available for your beauty needs here at Starlite. I had a particular interest in brands that were not normally available here! But just to mention, you can find large displays of your regular brands like Sally Hansen, Revlon, L'Oreal, Maybelline and Orly.
The newer brands (at least to me) includes Butter London, Cailyn Cosmetics, and Pop Beauty for nail polishes. New makeup brands included Prestige, MUD, Physician's Formula, Rimmel London, Cailyn Cosmetics, and Naked Cosmetics. And for your brush needs, you can get Bdellium green and yellow handles brushes or brush sets.

A Little Hauling :)
Polish Happy!

Butter London polishes are 3 Free polishes; which means they do not contain harmful ingredients of DBP (Dibutyl Phylate), Formaldehyde and Toulene. This is a luxury brand so it's a bit more expensive than your average polish.
Cailyn polishes is part of the Cailyn Cosmetics range of products, which specialises in mineral makeup. Cailyn polishes are also 3free.

Makeup and Brushes :)

Brush hoarders beware! These Bdellium brushes are reasonable priced and I spend about an hour trying to narrow down which ones I wanted. Bdellium brushes with the yellow handles are antibacterial with nickel plated bass ferrules. The green ones (aren't they gorgeous?) are ecofriendly made with sustainable bamboo handles, anodized aluminium ferrules and vegan synthetic bristles!

Naked Cosmetics is a line of mineral makeup made with mica pigments and manufactured in the USA. It is said to have no talc, oil, wax and other fillers added to these products.
From Butter London to Rimmel London; I am just dying to try out their awesome line of mascaras

And that's all for now folks! Stay tuned for my upcoming, in-depth reviews and looks featuring these products. This was a road trip well worth my time :)

XoXo

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
