Rainy Spring Greens

Hello Beautiful! Today's makeup look is inspired by the spring time with its flowers and bright luscious greens. I'm using the very pigmented and colourful Sleek Makeup I-Divine Ultra Mattes V2 Darks palette as my main muse.

The Eyes Have It!
1. Prime your eyes with a neutral base like Ruby Kisses eyeshadow magic primer. Allow to set a bit.
2. Using a flat shader brush, pat on a shimmery pink pigment like DaVinci Cosmetics Sheneine 089 all over the eyelid right up to the crease area.

3. Using the dark green shade called Fern from the Sleek Makeup Ultra Mattes V2 Darks palette and a small precise brush, apply the green using a cut crease technique concentrating the green towards the outer edge and fading the green as you go towards the tear duct area.
4. Next take a dark brown shade like Paper Bag and blend out the green moving upwards and concentrating the colour to the outer area of the eye fading inwards.
5. Use a skin tone shade like Dune blend out any harsh edges of Paper Bag.
6. Highlight the brow area using a lighter shade called Pillow Talk.

7. Run NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Cucumber in the lower waterline and lower lash line area. Set the lower lash line with Fern.
8. Complete the eye look with a dark brown liquid liner. My favourite is Prestige liquid liner in Black/Brown. Add mascara and/or falsies.

I kept the rest of the face pretty basic, just even out the skintone, a soft pink blush to add a touch of colour to the cheeks and a soft pink lipgloss to balance out the greens in the eye look.

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
