Neutral Glam Look

Hello beautiful! Today's look is all about creating a simple face with neutral colours but with a hint of glam for that everyday diva in you. This look is inspired by the popular MUA Undress Me Too palette, which is said to be a perfect dupe to Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette :)

Mini Review: The MUA Undress Me 2 palette is a new favorite of mine. While at the moment I can't personally compare it to its Urban Decay partner, I can say that the colours in this palette are perfect for everyday wear. The colors are more cool toned with the taupes and greys but you can get some warmth with the golden shades. The colors themselves are pigmented, blend easily and range from subtle to full on shimmer. The only drawback to me with this palette was the lack of matte shades, although you do find a few with very soft shimmer.

I adore the packaging with the clear cover so you can see all your colours without opening the case. The case is white compared to the usual black cases for other MUA palette I own. The shade names are written to the back of the packaging.
Available locally at Glamour Republic :)

The Eyes Have It:
1. Prime your eyes with a neutral base.
2. Using the light taupe shade Exposed and a flat shader brush, apply this colour to the first third of the eye lid starting from the tear duct. Also apply to the first third of the lower lashline.
3. Using a deep taupe, Obsessed, blend into Exposed and then continuing patting this shade over the rest of the eyelid.
4. Using a black, Corrupt deepen the outer V to bring some definition to the eye. Blend softly into the crease.
5. Use a brown shade like Lavish, blend out any harsh lines from Corrupt.
6. Further blend out Lavish using a highlight shade such as Naked.
7. Optional, place a small amount of a shimmery highlight such as Shy to the highest point of your brow arch.
8. Complete your look with some black liner, mascara and falsies.

Keep the rest of your face simple, with a soft peachy blush and nude lips. Here I'm using one of the new matte lipsticks from Sacha Cosmetics. This is Matte Me Nude. Since matte lipsticks can be a bit drying, apply a lip balm before application of the lipstick.

Now add some dramatic earrings and your simple but glam look is complete. How do you glam up a simple look?

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
