Nail Challenge Day 9: Golden Chic Saran Wrap

It's amazing how simple techniques like this one; the saran wrap can produce simply stunning designs. All you need is at least two contrasting colours and some saran wrap of course. For my Golden Chi Saran Wrap nails I'm using a chocolate brown with golden shimmer called Midtown Magic from China Glaze and Gold Plated from L.A.Girl Metal polish line.

Get the look:
1. Apply your favourite base coat and two coats of your chocolate brown polish. Allow to dry properly.

2. Pour some of your gold polish into a painter's palette well.
3. Using a piece of saran wrap, crumple it up to add some texture and then dab gentle into your gold polish well. Don't overload the saran wrap with polish, dab off any excess.
4. Now gently dab your saran wrap onto your base colour.
5. Repeat until you are happy with your design and contrast of the two colours together.
6. Seal in with a shiny top coat.

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
