Nail Challenge Day 15: Watercolor Wallpaper

Soft, pastel shades for Spring comes to mind with my latest nail challenge design and thoughts of watercolours.

Get the Look:
1. Apply a caramel colour base like China Glaze Classic Caramel.

2. Pour a drop of your colour into a painter's palette. Using an art brush, dip your brush into some acetone and then into your drop of nail polish. Lightly tap the colour onto the nail bed in random areas.
3. Repeat this process using different colours to achieve a soft watercolour effect. Colours used in this design are: NYX Algae (seafoam green), China Glaze Hanging in the Balance (medium bright blue), Liquid Leather (black), Bend Over Backwards (red).
4. If you want a more blended effect, simple use a clean brush dipped lightly into acetone and just dab over the parts you want to soften out.
5. Seal in your design with your favourite top coat :)

Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
