China Glaze Creative Fantasy

I have a love hate relationship with this colour from the Cirque Du Soleil collection. It's a stunning colour but the formula left much to be desire.

So what I love about this polish! Well the colour of course is so strikingly beautiful. It's a deep rich red based purple crème. Purple being one of my favourite colours so I'm slightly biased to any shades of it.

The downside is that it took me four coats to achieve this opacity compared to my regular two coats. The first coat was extremely streaky and the second and third coats looked like their was some low spots but the four managed to cover and even out any missing areas. Applying four coats of polish takes a lot of time and patience!

If it wasn't so beautiful, I simply wouldn't bear with this. Anywho, stay tuned for a simple nail art using this Creative Fantasy as my base colour.

  1. Does the polish dry quickly? That would make the difference in whether I bothered with it. There is nothing like spending your time polishing your nails to end up with a sticky goopy mess that doesn't dry. Yuck. But if it dries quickly then it is so worth it for that gorgeous color!!!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic
