Making a Tranzition for the New Year

Happy New Year 2013! It's been such a great journey so far for this blog and I look forward to continuing making wonderful encounters with beauty along the way with you. Let's start of this year with a new transition, a China Glaze Tranzition!

It's so interesting that nail polish companies are coming up with more innovative ways than just supplying a regular colour polish. With the tranzition polish the idea is that the colour for "Modify Me" is a soft lilac colour when applied straight from the bottle as shown in the picture above. It is really opaque in one nice thick coat. But it was really amazing to see the colour gradually deepen on application of the China Glaze Fast Forward top coat to a dark indigo blue.

It takes a while to fully develop the dark colour so just have a little patience. Here you can see the gradually darken and the full colour. I also did a bit of experimenting in that I used other top coats to see if these would also change the regular colour and they did. Some made it change in spots and not reach its full deep colour. So I would say stick to using the fast forward top coat which is was designed to work with.

Now suppose you added some "Snowflakes" onto your nails, this is how the colour would develop. So rich and vibrant.

Ok so what kind of transition are you going to make this year? Hoping it's as bright and rich as this beautiful colour!

Happy New Year!!!

  2. I initially wasn't impressed by swatches I saw of this collection but the change is so much more evident in yours! The topcoat info is very helpful and I love the version with the flakies!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic
