How to Organize your Jewelry

I have been doing a lot of organizing lately and my jewelry stash was not to be left out. Time after time I buy new items only to discover when I got home that I have something similar or in the same colour all because I didn’t realized what I had already. My jewelry items were all over the place and hidden away in boxes.
I had gotten this little lady as a Christmas present so she assisted me with the main users in my stash. She holds earrings and short chains. These I have noticed a lot lately in the malls. Check around for a good price.

At my last visit to my local office supply store I got myself a drawer organizer and in when the smaller jewelry pieces, mainly earrings and rings. Because it has sections one can easily colour code them for easy identification

I needed a place for the longer chains and the way I had them in boxes before meant that they were always tangles together when I was ready to use them but not anymore. Just take a simple tea cup rack, make sure you anchor it firmly to your surface and then organise your chains by colour. I don’t have much bangles but I would probably use another one of these to organize them too. I also love stringing the ones I use often over the mirror of my dresser. It looks so chic!
You can adjust how far apart you want the hooks

And finally let’s talk about how creative this last piece is. I found it at the Upmarket from a local handicraft maker. It’s a cute earring holder which I use for the larger pieces in my stash.

Hope I gave you some helpful tips. Feel free to let me know how you store your jewelry.
Happy organizing!
XOXO

Milani Luminous Blush versus Luminoso Baked Blush

I really discovered the brand Milani last year. They came out with some wonderful products. Let’s not talk about their Liquif’eye metallic eyeliners. It’s to die for kind of makeup. Now I had the so called dupe for the cult favourite Nars Orgasm; Milani’s Luminous powder blush and couldn’t resist getting the new baked blush in Luminoso to compare. If you just look at them in the pan you would think I’m comparing pink and peach but when you swatch them the similarities start to appear.

You can see they both have that peachy pink colour with luminous having a more shiny finish.

Baked Blush Luminoso
Powder blush Luminous
Because of my skin tone it takes quite a bit of the both blushes to really show up on the area applied. Luminous shows up way more shimmery on my cheeks than the baked blush Luminoso. While I like them both as blushes I prefer to use them as highlighters instead since they are shimmery. I really get that stunning glow when used on the nose bridge and top of cheekbones when used as a highlighter. They do fade during the day and so I have to reapply if used as a blush. So while these two are great blushes they aren’t the right ones for me. I need some more pigmented colours. I’m off to hunt for some. What should I try?
Happy blushing!
