Solar Flare Christmas Nails

Hello Bellezza! It's the holiday season and this is usually the busiest time of the year for me. So here is a simple but beautiful nail art design to get you out the door with some Christmas charm and bling on your nails.

Here are the steps I took to get this beautiful Christmas design.
1. Apply your favourite base coat to prevent staining from the red colour.
2. Apply two coats of NYC Broadway Burgundy Frost or any Christmas red of your choice. Allow to dry fully.
3. Using a sponge start from the tip of the nail and work your way about halfway up the nail bed sponging on a medium gold colour. I used Milani Gold Lame'.
4. On top of the medium gold, sponge on a sparkly, glitter gold such as Jordana Pop Art in Golden Artist.
5. Finish off the very tips with some chucky glitter polish. I used China Glaze Solar Flare.
6. Seal off your design and add some shine with a fast drying top coat. I used Sally Hansen Clear'd for Takeoff.

Happy Solar Flare!

XOXO

  2. Every time I try to sponge on polish it looks really messed up. Is there another way I could get the gradient?

    1. You can try using loose glitter or pigments instead of polish and apply over wet base coat polish using a nail art fan brush

Maybelline Color Tattoo and Loreal Infallible Eyeshadows! Plus More!!!

I can go for weeks, maybe a month without buying new makeup. I have that discipline but all that goes to south (I’m a north girl) when new products come out to play and particularly when I was literally stalking the stores to see if there was a sighting of the new Maybelline color tattoos. Come back next month. Ask me again in two weeks time. These were the comments I kept getting but finally there are here and what better way to celebrate their arrival by going nuts and buying their showcase neighbours as well, the Loreal infallible eye-shadows. I love Pennywise!
