Flights and Makeup

Hello beautiful! If I was missing in action recently it was probably due to my work taking me out of my country for a while. I was fortunate enough to visit 3 cities in the USA and since the malls there open late enough I could mix in a little beauty. But what can be more beautiful than the gorgeous scenes from up in the air of the seas and lands beneath. Here are a few shots of the beauty I was able to capture.

I'm not sure where this was but it was taken on my flight from Trinidad to Miami so it's probably another one of the Caribbean Islands. Just look at that beautiful blue water close to the shore!

Here is the beautiful windy city of Chicago! It was pretty busy and cold but if you can head to Woodfield Mall and visit the Bare Minerals store. The wonderful ladies there gave me a makeover that shocked me! And of course I walked away with a bag full of goodies.

Here is the quite town of Wausau, Wisconsin. I love seeing all the structure of the land below with the farms in between the sections.

Since we don't have a Sephora here and many of the brands are not available either, a must have stop for me is always Sephora.

So stick around with me! I'm sure I will be able to find some inspiration from those gorgeous shots for upcoming nail art and beauty looks. Reviews on my latest makeup hauls coming soon!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
