Polish Days: Sentimental Pinks

I'm thrilled to be doing my first Polish Days challenge. You can find more information on this at Polly Polish. So this month's theme is called Sentimental, so your manicure must represent something well sentimental. Be it the polish itself or the design. I'm choosing to go with the design. What better way to celebrate October than with a breast cancer awareness manicure that brings me back to an aunt of mine who suffered and died from cancer. She was indeed loved by our family.

These polishes are all from the China Glaze United in Purpose Breast Cancer Awareness 2012 collection. From left to right: Hopeful, Exquisite, and Beauty Within. I just used two coats of Hopeful as the base colour and then sponged on Exquisite up to 3/4 of the nail bed with Beauty Within concentration more to the tips.

Hope you enjoyed! See what they lovely ladies came up with for their Sentimental Polish Days!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Happy One Year Blogoversary!

One year already? OMG! Time really flies when you're having fun . I really enjoyed my one year with you. I've made new friends, improved on my nail and makeup techniques, tried new trends and products, discovered I love nail art (can you tell) and the list goes on. But most importantly I want to thank you all for your support and kind words that kept me going. Honestly there were some times when I was down since I didn't feel my articles and pictures were great but you stuck in with me and for that I say thank you. But I also would like to say thank you and to celebrate this achievement by my first ever giveaway! A Rafflecopter Giveaway
