Nail Challenge Day 29: Inspired by a Supernatural

I'm back! I'm so glad my creative juices are flowing again and so I can put more effort into create beautiful masterpieces again. So here is my day 29! OMG it's coming to an end soon. For today's challenge I was inspired by the supernatural elements in the movie "The Nightmare before Christmas". I loved this picture with the spooky houses and bright yellow moon so I thought this was very appropriate for today's design.

The yellow used is China Glaze Sunshine Pop while the rest are acrylic paints.

Stay tuned for Day 30: Inspired by a Tutorial and be sure to stop by Jayne's blog Cosmetic Proof and Traci's blog DrinkCitra to see what gorgeous designs they also created for this challenge!

Happy Supernatural!

I Found You NYX Cosmetics

He thought he could hide from me forever, but boy was he mistaken! The mighty NYX cosmetics booth that was hiding in Long Circular Mall, Trinidad got trapped by a skillful makeup addict! Me!!!! How could he have avoided me for almost 2 years? Being a northeast girl means venturing into POS and environs is only when I really have to. In addition, you don’t have to wait 6 months before recently launched items from NYX cosmetics are available. These people have it down when it comes to ensuring all the new and existing items are there for you! Everything I asked for was available to me to buy! And Yes I got some goodies! How could I not? I have been in a blush craze lately so why not try my first blush from NYX, Desert Rose. The new xtreme lip creams were available so I…

Hot Milk Sponge Cake with Fresh Fruit & Coconut

In today's yummy post we are doing an easy sponge cake (no creaming of butter and sugar involved). Instead of torting this cake we are using two loaf pans to give us our two layers, which we will pull together with vanilla buttercream. I love the rectangular look of this cake rather than the traditional round or square but more importantly the flavors of the toasted coconut on the sides and fresh fruit on top makes for a mouth watering dessert.

Welcome back everyone! Today I'm sharing my replication of the Wilton method to making Royal Icing and some simple decorations you can make with the Wilton tip 21. This is an open star tip and can be paired with a simple leaf tip like a Wilton 352 to make small drop flowers.
