Nail Challenge Day 27: Inspired by Artwork

Every so often I guess I'm like a writer with writer's block except mine is in terms of nail designs. Nail art block! haha. For this challenge, I didn't have a personal piece to draw inspiration from so instead I took to the world wide web for that. I found this beautiful piece of digital art called Purple Spring by Dianar87.

It didn't turn out how I wanted it to be and of course when you apply a top coat and it smudges your design you want to just scream. Oh well!

Hoping I get my groove back soon!
Stay tuned for Day 28: Inspired by a Flag and be sure to stop by Jayne's blog Cosmetic Proof and Traci's blog DrinkCitra to see what gorgeous designs they also created for this challenge!

Happy Artwork!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
