Nail Challenge Day 26: Inspired by a Pattern

Is it too early for Christmas? Well I've already started with my latest nail art design inspired by the pattern of Christmas bows. I have a roll of this gorgeous ribbon just waiting to be used and the combination of the red and gold is simply stunning. The intricate details in the ribbon is soft and feminine but festive at the same time. In reality while this does remind me of Christmas, it also reminds me of those Indian Bridal sarees.

The look was done using just two colours; shimmery red from China Glaze called Ruby Pumps and gold stripper from Jordana called Golden Artist.

Stay tuned for Day 27: Inspired by Artwork and be sure to stop by Jayne's blog Cosmetic Proof and Traci's blog DrinkCitra to see what gorgeous designs they also created for this challenge!

Happy Patterns!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
