Nail Challenge Day 24: Inspired by a Book

Can you tell I'm totally letting two little kids decide on my latest nail designs? I remember saying to Abi that I need a book for inspiration and she immediately pulled out her favourite book, The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Out of the huge collection of books they own, this is the only one she will read over and over again. She already wants all the other books in the series now.

So the base white is China Glaze White on White using two coats for it to be fully opaque. Next I just drew on the black lines using acrylic paint and a toothpick.

Do you know all of the characters in this design? Ok so the main character (on ring finger) in the story is called Greg. Next to him (the square face one) is his best friend, Rowley and next to him is Greg's bad big brother, Roderick.
Do you know the story about the stinky cheese? My nieces insisted I paint the stinky cheese! It's a just a stinky piece of cheese just on the ground growing mold and you just dont want to touch it or else you would have the "Cheese Touch" haha

Stay tuned for Day 25: Inspired by Fashion and be sure to stop by Jayne's blog Cosmetic Proof and Traci's blog DrinkCitra to see what gorgeous designs they also created for this challenge!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
