Nail Challenge Day 22: Inspired by a Song

It's a funny story how I came about this song inspired nail design. It just so happened that I bought the two colours used in this look together and I just love the fact that they have gold elements to them. I thought they would look good together but didn't know quite how until for some strange reason I starting singing Gold Digger! So here's my Gold Digger design!

As with all sparkly polishes they can be sometimes hard to capture on camera but if you turn it slightly so the reflection is not dead on you may get some gorgeous sparkles like this.

This colour is called White Cap. It's very sheer even after two coats you can still see the nail bed but the colour itself is exquisite. Ok so now you just add in you Solar Flare gold glitter pieces and use a toothpick to guide the pieces into your pattern.

Stay tuned for Day 23: Inspired by a Movie and be sure to stop by Jayne's blog Cosmetic Proof and Traci's blog DrinkCitra to see what gorgeous designs they also created for this challenge!

Happy Gold Digger!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
