Day 31: Recreate your favourite challenge!

So we have come to the end of our nail challenge and I have to admit this is a bittersweet moment for me. I enjoyed the challenges but at times it  was really a challenge to decide on what design to do and balance the quick nail changes in between my regular life. It was so hard to decide on which one I love best but in the end my blue black gradient nails were the most popular so I recreated them using red and black instead :)

It's a really simple design but the combination of contrasting colours is what makes it so eye catching! For this I use the black from China Glaze, Liquid Leather; 2 coats. Next I sponged on a red colour also from China Glaze called Go Crazy Red and then deepen the tips as well as add a touch of sparkle with Ruby Pumps

I would love to say thank you to Jayne from the blog Cosmetic Proof and Traci from the blog DrinkCitra for completing this challenge with me. There encouragement was enough to see me through this and their design were truly inspirational. I'll be back with more nail designs and more soon!

Happy Challenges!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
