Cupcakes and Polish at the LCN Caribbean Launch Party

It was truly an honour to be invited to the launch of the LCN products by the gorgeous Ceola Belix. I've never heard of this brand before so it was great to see up close the products offered by the brand and learn more about them. Let's start of by saying the event was hosted by 14IRL Ltd and guests were greeted with good music, drinks and these yummy cupcakes.

The main display showcased the range of products from the German made brand: LCN. LCN is an abbreviation for Light Concept Nails. One of their more popular products for the night was their magnetic polishes. These come in a range of colours and at the moment with two designs: starburst and side stripes/ lines.

But if magnetic polishes are not your style, then the normal range of polishes should have you covered from the classic red, glitters to bright greens and hot pink. The LCN brand also has the crackle polishes.

Makeup and skin care lovers have no fear, you are covered from LCN too. Their Makeup line caters for beauty to the face, eyes and lips. The Spa line is for the ultimate in pampering of the hands, feet and body. There is even the LCN Man Care series of products for the male hand and nail grooming.

Guests were treated with manicures! Here is my good friend, Joanne getting herself a magnetic polish manicure. I went for a more traditional approach with a classic red polish using their nail seal top coat. This top coat is light curing and did so under the lamp in about 1 minute. Isn't it gorgeous?

We completed the night strolling out for a last drink before heading home and the wonderful staff saw us leaving and brought us two lovely gift bags to end the perfect evening of cupcakes and polish. Here's the lovely treat!

If you want to connect with the brand head on over to their facebook page or twitter account! I'm off to rock my red nails and try out a luxurious Karuna Luxe mask!
Happy Cupcakes & polish!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
