I'm learning so much from these nail challenges; like the fact that I love polka dots and don't have much metallic colours. Oh and by the way I love antique gold just like this colour from L.A.Girl.
In case you're wondering I distressed it a bit by adding touches of dark grey and true gold colours. The base antique gold looks like this.

I feel like it needed to look a bit more distressed so I will of course retry this again. What you do is start off with two coats of the Antique Gold. Next you take a grey colour, like L.A.Girl Disorder and wipe off as much polish from the brush as possible. Next apply in short strokes onto the antique gold so that it covers some portions of it. Repeat with a true gold colour. I used my favourite gold; Milani Gold Lame'.
Stay tuned for Day Nine: Rainbow Nails and be sure to stop by Jayne's blog Cosmetic Proof and Traci's blog DrinkCitra to see what gorgeous designs they also created for this challenge!
Happy Metallic Nails!
