Nail Challenge Day 6: Violet Lilac Nails

So as I promised I put just a tad more effort into the Purple nail challenge than as for my Blue ones. Purple after all is one of my favourite colours.

In case you're wondering what the gorgeous purple colour is called: L.A.Girl Color Addict in Intoxicate. It is definitely my most beloved purple polish with its gold specks.

If you want a cleaner look, you can opt to just applying the lilac nail appliques on only accent nails. This would allow for you to see more of the gorgeous purple base colour. I decided to go all out and apply to each nail instead.

Stay tuned for Day Seven: Black and White Nails and be sure to stop by Jayne's blog Cosmetic Proof and Traci's blog DrinkCitra to see what gorgeous designs they also created for this challenge!

Happy Violet Nails!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
