Orly Smolder and Flicker from the Fired Up Fall 2012 Collection

Are you a huge fan of the Hunger Games? I am most definitely. Both the books and movie was pretty decent to me. Anyway I thought Orly’s Flicker looks like the perfect shade to embrace some fire hot nails!

Isn’t it gorgeous? This is my favourite colour out of the two that I have from Orly’s Fired Up Fall 2012 collection. For a moment I got lost in this colour which looks perfect with my medium dark skin tone. So let’s just look at Smolder and Flicker together!

Smolder is a dark cherry red colour while Flicker is a gorgeous burnt orange colour with golden shimmer. It sparks so beautifully in reality that I couldn’t pick this up on camera! Flicker can be a one coat polish if you go with a thicker coat. I used two coats here. The only thing I couldn’t quite understand is why I got so many tiny bubbles in this polish. This was not the case with Smolder which went on so smooth.

Did I mention Smolder was a dark cherry red? It’s really pretty and truly a darker vampy colour for the fall. This one I feel can also pass as a one coat polish but the beauty is at its maximum in two coats. No bubbles in this smooth talker.

So that’s it folks! Just wanted to share these two gorgeous colours with you! So tell me, what are you favourite fall colours? Are you heading out to get any colours from this Orly Fired Up collection? Stay tuned for more gorgeous plain polishes!
Happy Fire!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic
