Happy Friday! Volume #19

Who doesn’t love a Friday? It’s the start to the weekend where we beauty lovers can get some more time to indulge in our stashes of beauty items. More so we get maybe some time for ourselves to just do nothing much or something extravagant! It’s also a time for me to share more about me to you that may or may not be beauty related. Feel free to share what you will be up to this weekend. Happy Friday!

Beauty Adventure? OMG! We can get Sleek and MUA or Makeup Academy makeup brands here! And for a reasonable price too! Double score. It seems like makeup and nail polish follow me around everywhere I go. I can drum up a conversation just around the word makeup or nail polish! It seems to be infectious too since I swear all the ladies in my office is joining in with the action which is how I got to know we can get Sleek and MUA in Trinidad! Take a look at my new babies!

So it's imported into Trinidad from a trini living in England, who happens to be my coworker's BFF. So add that to talks about makeup and BAM! Double score! This came in just in time, I really wanted to try out some more new brands (to me) this year.

Plans for the weekend? Are you serious? Of course it's to play around in my new makeup! That and go see the new batman movie! Oh and I still have the Olympics fever! Really I can watch for hours on end.

Something about me? I didn't realize until I checked out my blogoversary reminder that my blog is almost one year old! On looking back on some of my old posts, I'm horrified but at the same time I do see the progress I've made with the posts and pictures. Now who says giveaway time right around the corner? Find out soon but in the meantime have a happy Friday!

Happy Friday!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
