Hello gorgeous! This is just a simple design using the colours of our nail flag to celebrate the momentous occasion of Trinidad and Tobago on its 50th year of Independence! I will be wearing this design right up to the actual day of Independence on August 31st (the day before I start my 31 days plus bonus nail art challenge).
The base coat is my favourite red colour; China Glaze Ruby Pumps, two coats to ensure it's really opaque. Then I just applied using a white stripper brush and China Glaze's White on White nail polish the upside down "V". Start at one of the corners of the tip and go up about 1/3 of the nail for the point of the "V" and then back down again to the other nail corner. Super simple.
Now add a black in the same pattern under this white line. I used Jordana Pop Art in Black for this. Repeat using another white line underneath. In our national flag we have two white lines with a black line in the middle so this design is symbolic of that. I emphasized the tip with just a hint of red to complete my design.
