Silver Elephant Walk Nails

Because glitter makes everything special! That should be my newest saying. So the next China Glaze colour from their Safari Collection is called Elephant Walk. I'm crazy about Kalahari Kiss so was pretty excited to try out Elephant Walk. To be honest, its grey shimmer colour would not be one I would normally reach for (Imagine I passed up the blue goodness of Man Hunt!).

So this beautiful colour does indeed remind me of an elephant's skin. It's not as harsh as a concrete colour since it is lighter and the shimmer within the polish makes it appear softer.

It took me just two coats to achieve an opaque colour. This is just the way I like my polish. It applied smoothly without any bubbles, pooling or patchiness.

Now here's where the glitter came in to the picture. It's probably just me but I found the colour looked absolutely gorgeous on the nails but not for my hands! Does that make sense to you? Anyway, to make it all better I sponged on Milani PC Girl starting from the tips upwards in a gradient style.

Ah, that was so much better. Told you, glitter makes everything special! Care to join me for a silver elephant walk?

Happy Elephant Walking!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
