Plain Old Polish: Santee Beach Yellow

You know you're a nail polish addict when friends start posting nail pictures they want you to try on your facebook wall or they start gifting you bottles of nail polish for your birthday or they just randomly buy you a brand you've never tried out. Well this bottle of polish came to me in the last category.

I've seen this brand around but never ventured to try (China Glaze snob, I suppose). My boyfriend's sister bought me 3 bottles and this was the first one I tried since it's a gorgeous colour in the bottle. Now after two coats it was still not fully opaque so you can still see my nail lines but the colour is very vibrant. The only other thing that made this polish a bit fussy was the thinner and a bit runny consistency of the formula.

You guessed it! It's called Beach Yellow. The only other bright yellow in my stash is from China Glaze called Sunshine Pop. Either way the moral of the story is still to branch out and see what interesting nail polish finds awaits you.

Happy Polishing!
XOXO

    1. Oh yes I'm not found of the consistency but do like the colour. I'm really into the metal polishes from LA Girl, try some of those as well! Enjoy

  2. It came out lovely on your nails,I've tried their matte colors before but it usually comes out streaky on me so I prefer their shimmery colors.. you really did an amazing job!

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic
