Lattice Tips with Tutorial

Hello you beautiful! This is just a simple design to spruce up a plain old manicure. Just add some strokes in the form of the letter X to your tips to create a simple lattice design.

First you want to choose a base polish and apply enough coats for full opacity. I used two coats of L.A. Girl Metal nail polish in Deep Sea Mica. It’s a gorgeous blue green colour.

Next you want to get a white stripper polish to make the first part of your “X”. I’m using Nail fusion Basic white. This is a brand of polish made by Sacha Cosmetics. Since I’m right handed it was easier to make the strips going from left to right first. So with a small amount of white polish on your stripper brush add four to five diagonal lines as shown below.

Now to add the other part of the “X”. I found it easier to complete this part with my hand laid flat out instead of making a fist. The main point here is that you want to form your “X” but overlapping a bit to form your lattice design. Add top coat and you’re all done!

Now you can change up this design with endless possibilities of base polish and stripper polish. Just make sure you get enough contrast between the two colours of your choice. Enjoy, until next time!
Happy Lattice!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
