Plain Old Polish- L’Oreal Paris in Mauvie Star

Hey remember I said I wanted to try out new brands this year? Well L’Oreal isn’t a new brand for me in terms of their makeup but this Mauvie Star is the first L’Oreal nail polish in my stash. This first experience was a surprisingly good one. Overall I loved it. Of course it doesn’t bowl over my love for China Glaze but it impressed me enough to wear this colour for more than just one day.

Patriotic Olympics Nails

Hello Beautiful! I've caught the Olympics fever and being a patriotic person I thought it would be appropriate to do some matching nails to show my support for my local team.

Checker Nails (with tutorial)

Checkers anyone? Well just one checker anyway! If you don’t like using tape and have a stripper brush polish just dying to be used then this maybe a design for you. I’ve been caught so many times before buying nail art polishes that supposedly comes with thin brushes only to be disappointed with the brush size. Packaging can be so deceiving. So this is my first nail art polish from the brand L.A.Colors that was used to test this checker design out.

Plain Old Polish- Maybelline Express Finish in Outloud Lime

Retina burning green! Yes the name of this colour really says exactly how this colour appears in real life. It’s really beautiful and not a usual colour I would have in my stash. Remember I’m a pink and blue polish girl! It reminds me of Kermit the frog though. What do you think?

Caribbean Blue Sea Look

Sail the seas with me! After bombarding you with only nail designs, I actually took the time to sit down and play with my makeup. I was instantly drawn to the blues from my Ambrosia Cosmetics creative palette and came up with this bright blue look that reminds me of the blue waters of the Caribbean seas. I finished it off with a bright pink lip to make the look truly exotic.

Silver Elephant Walk Nails

Because glitter makes everything special! That should be my newest saying. So the next China Glaze colour from their Safari Collection is called Elephant Walk. I'm crazy about Kalahari Kiss so was pretty excited to try out Elephant Walk. To be honest, its grey shimmer colour would not be one I would normally reach for (Imagine I passed up the blue goodness of Man Hunt!).

Happy Friday! Volume #18

Who doesn’t love a Friday? It’s the start to the weekend where we beauty lovers can get some more time to indulge in our stashes of beauty items. More so we get maybe some time for ourselves to just do nothing much or something extravagant! It’s also a time for me to share more about me to you that may or may not be beauty related. Feel free to share what you will be up to this weekend. Happy Friday! Beauty Adventure? So I really did need to go shopping for neutral nail polish colours and it was so ironic how I only happened on the China Glaze Safari Collection only after I had just completed my Blue Zebra and Golden Leopard nails. Anyway, I chose to walk away with just Kalahari Kiss and Elephant Walk. It was hard to leave the other gorgeous colours behind but I had to stick with what I came for!

Golden Leopard Nails (with tutorial)

I’m really into animal print nails. The blue zebra ones turned out great and now onto leopards. While looking for a picture of a real leopard to check on the colours I realized that I didn’t have that beige or tan colour for the base to represent the main colour in the leopard’s fur. The closest colour I had in my stash was gold so I thought I would use that instead.

Plain Old Polish: China Glaze Ruby Pumps

Do you want a classic red colour? Well look no further than Ruby Pumps from China Glaze. It's a popular colour and I know why! The red colour is deeply saturated with shimmer that sparkles in every light.  With flash

Blue Zebra Nails

I recently decided to delve into the world of using acrylic paints for my nails but didn’t know where to start with it. Then I remembered a friend of mine posted a blue animal print nail design on my facebook wall. So let’s try to replicate that shall we.  With flash

Happy Friday! Volume #17

I did some reorganizing this week and realized there were so many products that I haven't tried out yet. I do want to not be a hoarder but use and appreciate every nail polish or makeup item in my stash. So now I keep the new items in this cute basket and plan to test them out this month. Can I do it all?

Audacious Siren Eyes

Hello beautiful! Just a quick eye look to show you today. I finally got around to using my Revlon Colorstay 16 hour quad in Siren which pairs beautifully with the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Audacious Asphalt as a base.

Galaxy Nails (with tutorial)

Here I go again, trying out some of the latest nail trends! I think this one so far is my favourite. Would you like to enter my galaxy with me? It’s really easy to do, I could show you how.

Chicken Mushroom Noodles

Oh hello! You're welcome to have Sunday lunch with me. On Sunday's I'm the top chef in my house simply since my mom cooks for the other days in the week. So I had to learn through trial and error how to get some good food down for the whole family to enjoy. This week we're having Chicken Mushroom Noodles.

More so we get maybe some time for ourselves to just do nothing much or something extravagant! It’s also a time for me to share more about me to you that may or may not be beauty related. Feel free to share what you will be up to this weekend. Happy Friday! Beauty Adventure? Can you tell that I'm crazy about nail polish lately? I seem to can't get enough of the bright colours and trying out different brands. I'm started posting plain manicures in my new series called Plain Old Polish . It's my hope to be able eventually to show you all the colours in my stash. Of course the fact that I was almost to 100 bottles annoyed me so much I made a trip to a Wonderful World (pun intended) and bought just a few more to push me over the 100 mark.

Plain Old Polish: Santee Beach Yellow

You know you're a nail polish addict when friends start posting nail pictures they want you to try on your facebook wall or they start gifting you bottles of nail polish for your birthday or they just randomly buy you a brand you've never tried out. Well this bottle of polish came to me in the last category.

Plain Old Polish: L.A. Girl Color Addict in Disorder

Hello there! This is just a super quick post to show you this gorgeous plain old polish . Recently I have been trying out different brands of polish (I still love you China Glaze) to find cheaper alternatives and just to see what maybe a good overall buy. I didn't have much grey colours so I picked up a random bottle of L.A.Girl Color Addict Polish and boy was I surprised! It's hot!
