What’s in My Makeup Bag! All About the Eyes

Did you see my face and lip products? Well go back and see them now. But in case you did already, here is the rest of what’s in my makeup bag, the eye products. I love the saying that the eyes are the windows to your soul. At one point in time I was really disappointed that my eyes were small but I’ve since grown to love them immensely.

So what I usually do is choose some fun pops of colour along with a neutral palette. My favourite neutral palette at the moment is the Coastal Scents Go Palette Cairo. It contains both matte and shimmery colours perfect for a simple smoky brown eye look to a glamorous night out. My favourite colours are the skintone mattes and shimmery gold, which really makes my brown eyes pop. Some of these colours I have already hit pan with but the white and silver usually are neglected.

Do you want some colour? Strangely enough, I didn’t put any of my MAC eyeshadows in my makeup bag recently. I’ve been really enjoying these three local eyeshadows made right here in Trinidad. Sacha Cosmetics makes this gorgeous dark blue with glitter shadow called Medianoche. I usually use this colour for a dark blue smoky eye.
Ambrosia Cosmetics make this almost chartreuse green called Isis. When I’m feeling adventurous, I pack this on as a lid colour with some matte brown in the crease.
Did you know that purple is one of my favourite colours? Well lilac is as well and this soft lilac, almost lavender colour from Playgirl Cosmetics is a dream. It’s a perfect summer colour.

Let’s complete the eyes together! After applying shadow, the look needs to be completed with mascara and liner. Lately just the basic black mascara works for me; Maybelline Great Lash in Very black . For eyeliner, I decided to move away from the harsh black for a while to enjoy the great alternative of a charcoal (Jordana Easyliner for eyes in Smokey) and brown (Avon Glimmersticks in Brown Chocolate).

For my sometimes wayward brows, Maybelline Define-a-brow gel comes in handy and Ruby Kisses eyeshadow primer with its pink look a like packaging to the Urban Decay primer potion is what starts off the eye look for the day. So that completes my makeup bag! Whew!
What’s in your makeup bag? And what are your favourite eye products lately?
Happy Eye Makeup!
XOXO

  4. Cool collection, the ruby kisses primer is pretty difficult to get a hold of,hope u review it soon..so I've opted for elf primer, based on your review plus what I googled. All the colors look great and I like the dual tone look of the Isis eyeshadow, as for my fav eye look my santee gel liner and a touch of mascara(kleancolor) is the simplest look I'm enjoying now:)

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
