Queen Bee

Who wants to be a queen bee for a day? This look was inspired by the simple bumble bee, portrayed as the simple yellow and black but pair it together with my bee hive hair, pointed stinger and sweet flower lips for you to lead the way as queen bee!

Nail Polish Collection

I’ve been really into my nails lately. I can’t seem to pass by a nail polish display rack without some colour catching my eye. As my collection was growing I thought it was time to do some cleaning out, removing some old ones and rearranging what was left. I also thought it would be interesting to see what brands I loved the most, what colours were the most and least popular in my collection and how many bottles in total did I have at this point. If you want to know the answers then stick around with me!

Splatter Summer Neon Nails with Tutorial

Oh my beloved China Glaze Summer Neon colours, Orange You Hot? and Flirty Tankini was just idly sitting by and I thought I needed just one more way to wear them again. Both are fabulous, vibrant colours on their own and looked soft and pretty sheered out in my watercolour manicure . I wanted another way to wear them together but this time it should allow them to be the bold, vibrant colours that they are. Introducing my splatter nails (which is one of the newest nail trends) featuring my two summer neons from China Glaze.

Happy Friday! Volume#15

Who doesn’t love a Friday? It’s the start to the weekend where we beauty lovers can get some more time to indulge in our stashes of beauty items. More so we get maybe some time for ourselves to just do nothing much or something extravagant! It’s also a time for me to share more about me to you that may or may not be beauty related. Feel free to share what you will be up to this weekend. Happy Friday! Beauty Adventure? Have you ever been super excited for a bottle of nail polish? Well I certainly did this week after finally scoring my first flakie polish!!!! Count on my beloved China Glaze to always come through for me.

What’s in My Makeup Bag! All About the Eyes

Did you see my face and lip products? Well go back and see them now . But in case you did already, here is the rest of what’s in my makeup bag, the eye products. I love the saying that the eyes are the windows to your soul . At one point in time I was really disappointed that my eyes were small but I’ve since grown to love them immensely.

A Simple Pomegranate Punk Look

Happy Friday! Volume #14

I'm jumping on the B.B. Cream train! The Garnier skin renew miracle skin perfector b.b. cream (a huge mouthful to say!) was the only b.b.cream I could find here now. Well actually I found the Estee Lauder one too but not in my shade. So far I really like that it glides on smoothly, blends in well with my skin-tone and has a great smell. I love products with multiple uses to make my makeup routine simpler!

China Glaze Glam-More Crackle Glitter Tips

Glitter can be so much fun. If you are not planning to get a full nail of glitter, then simply add them to your tips like you would in a French manicure. Add a flower accent and you’re all done for these easy simple glitter tips. Glam-more is a gorgeous fuchsia coloured crackle glitter polish.

What’s in My Makeup Bag! Face and Lip Products

The contents of my makeup bag are constantly changing. I try to test out new products but still give attention to each of my beloved makeup items. I also try to ensure the contents of my makeup bag would be suited to the outfit I’m wearing. During the week while avoiding the traffic, I arrive rather early at my workplace so this is where I usually apply my makeup. On weekends I can spend as much time as I want rummaging through all the makeup drawers for whatever colours or tools I need for that look. Whereas most of my co-workers may carry lunch bags, I carry to work my makeup bag, disguised as a lunch bag!

Happy Friday! Volume#13

Ever heard about a monochromatic look? It's where you use the same colour or shades of it for your entire makeup look. I've been crazy about the colour orange ever since Pantone decided this was the year for Tangerine Tango so I put together a monochromatic type look with orange.

Where does the time go for the Maybelline 14hr Lipstick?

My how time flies? It’s a saying I’ve use quite often and heard repeatedly said by others as well. I was hoping I would be able to say the same thing about these Maybelline 14hour lipsticks while wearing them to work last week but alas I couldn’t!

Watercolour Nails Tutorial

Remember my first attempt at watercolour nails? It turned out more like speckled nails since the methylated spirits didn’t quite agree with the polish formula. So now that I got the acetone, here is my second attempt at watercolour nails with a tutorial in case you want to try this out for yourself.

Shake your Bon Bon and Condition those Lips with MAC’s Viva Glam Ricky Lip Conditioner

I know I was quite young when Ricky Martin released Shake Your Bon-Bon from his self-titled album. This song brings back so many fond memories for me. I loved seeing him dance and well… shake his bon-bon. Ricky didn’t stop at just music but is giving himself towards a worthy cause in MAC’s Viva Glam campaign this year. Ricky teamed up with Nicki Minaj and together they introduced the Viva glam Nicki lipstick and Ricky’s lip conditioner to support the MAC AIDS fund. Unfortunately I cannot seem to get a hold of the lipstick but the lip conditioner was more readily available.
