To Russia with Love from a MAC Russian Red Lipglass

Bold red lips at the touch of a lipglass! I remember when I was afraid to wear red lips. I thought it was just so bold and my timid personality preferred to stick with soft pink lips. Well those thoughts have faded with age and now I can face my fears with the beautiful MAC Russian Red lipglass.

Product Packaging: The lipglass come in a hard plastic tube with black screw type cover with the standard doe foot applicator wand. The tube contains 4.8g of product. It very similar in size and packaging to the NYX xtreme lip creams.

Product Colours: Russian Red is a opaque blue based red so it makes your teeth appear whiter. However if you use just a tiny amount and blend it over the entire lips it can look sheerer. Overall this colour is really opaque and can give you the intense colour of a lipstick. Russian Red can also be found as a MAC lipstick and nail polish in the MAC fashion sets. But not to worry since both lipglass and lipstick are part of MAC's permanent line so you can get them anytime.

On top: MAC Impassioned Lipglass; On bottom: MAC Russian Red Lipglass

Product Performance: When I think lipglass, I think of a thicker type lipgloss and that's exactly how lipglasses are. It is also quite sticky so you have to be careful not to get you hair in it which happened to me during my swatching! For me the product wore for between 3-4 hours. Once you eat or drink the colour comes off but the lipglass definitely holds on more to your lips than a regular lipgloss.

Product Flexibility: If you're are lipgloss loving girl like myself give this one a shot since it has the colour opacity of a lipstick, just in a lipgloss form. If you bold enough try wearing this colour to the office for a casual friday work look. It looks great with a simple cat eye!

Product Availability & Price: At MAC counters where-ever they maybe. I got mine in West Mall for $130TT.

Happy Russian Red!
XOXO
Naomi

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic
