Double Sunshine! Sunshine Pop from China Glaze and Sun Halo

I blame it on my Sunshine Pop from China Glaze nail polish! On the first day (April 14th) I wore them, one of nature’s magical moments occurred right here in Trinidad. I mean this is so not a joke. It really happened. There was a halo around the sun and while so beautiful to look at, if you didn’t know about it, well you just might have been freaked out, like me!

Anyway, China Glaze Sunshine Pop is from their Electropop collection that was released earlier this year. Side note: Sweet Hook which is also from this collection is a lilac crème polish, Love! Sunshine Pop is not quite a crème polish; it has some subtle shimmer to it. But the colour itself screams big bird! Two coats were sufficient for a good opacity and I didn’t have any application problems with it. The colour does stain the nails though, so use a good base coat.

Sun Halo!

So after I got over the fact that aliens weren’t going to take over the planet and it was a natural occurring phenomenon, I took my happy nails to the beach for some more sunshine. How appropriate!

Hope you enjoyed some much needed sunshine!
Happy Sunshine Pop!
XOXO
Naomi

    1. Well for Sweet hook that one was on the electropop display when it came out earlier this year, but sunshine pop i actually found in the normal china glaze display. I'm guessing this yellow was not a big seller from the collection so they just sticked it in with the regular colours.

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
