T&T Hair & Beauty Tradeshow 2012

I hope you had a great weekend! I certainly did with this year’s Hair & Beauty Tradeshow. The theme for this year was Beautiful Woman 2012. A few tips for tradeshows like these, if you can get a layout of the room and who will be at each booth, that way you can narrow down where you want to see first and develop you own strategy for working the room. Getting there early helps with parking and grabbing some for the earlier goodies if you are up for shopping.

If you are a hair lover there were quite a few booths offering everything from hair care to hair tools. My favourite was the Conair booth since I was interested in hair styling tools but nothing excited me more than to see the weave master stylist himself Clem Lue Yat.

Makeup lovers have no fear; there were lots for you as well. There were more booths about hair than makeup but these two booths made up for that. Maybelline being a main sponsor of the event had their own booth with great prices and many newer items from their line. And yes the Color tattoos were present even though Tenacious teal was still not available.

Why don’t you have some Eye Kandy or some Naked Cosmetics? The Eye Kandy from Eye Kandy Cosmetics are glitters for the eyes and body. You could get as a bundle the clear liquid adhesive base with liner brush and one glitter colour. The Naked cosmetics are a mineral makeup line made in the USA. Get the gloss pot which is a mixing medium and you can turn the eye-shadow into in lip product. But you can use a pink shade as an eye-shadow, blush or lip colour. Multi-use product!

Are you the adventurous type? Try one of these hot lips tattoo stickers.

Prefer nail polish over makeup or hair? T&T Salon supplies were more than happy to offer a range of China Glaze polishes from the basic colours to the crackles to the magnetix line.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the event. It’s always interesting to discover different brands and its local distributors or just a local distributor with better prices of some well loved beauty items.
Happy Beautiful Woman 2012!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
