Maybelline Color Tattoo and Loreal Infallible Eyeshadows! Plus More!!!

I can go for weeks, maybe a month without buying new makeup. I have that discipline but all that goes to south (I’m a north girl) when new products come out to play and particularly when I was literally stalking the stores to see if there was a sighting of the new Maybelline color tattoos. Come back next month. Ask me again in two weeks time. These were the comments I kept getting but finally there are here and what better way to celebrate their arrival by going nuts and buying their showcase neighbours as well, the Loreal infallible eye-shadows. I love Pennywise!

If you’re Trinidadian, they are $39.95TT in Pennywise but they don’t have all the colours and the shade I wanted Tenacious Teal was already sold out. But don’t dispair! Head on down to SuperPharm, scan the entire place and you will eventually find a Maybelline display with all the colours. But alas, Tenacious teal still eluded me. If I did find him, he would cost me about $10TT more here but that was a price I was willing to pay for him.

While at SuperPharm, you can’t just buy one thing, can you? Well pick yourself up the new Illegal length fibre extensions mascara, one superstay 10 stain gloss and a fuchsia coloured superstay 14 hour lipstick. All new products from Maybelline!
Did I mention I went shopping with my Dad? The poor thing was walking around the store looking at pet food, vitamins, even water. He managed to walk the entire place before I was even done choosing my shades. Poor daddy!
And back at Pennywise, I was also having a hard time choosing shades of the Loreal Infallible eye-shadows. The shades were simply gorgeous but the price tag was not at $50.95TT. Ahh, all for the sake of the beauty blog!
I am super excited these new products are here and can’t wait to start testing them out and using them in upcoming looks. Look out for those. Was there anything here that interested you? Know any good tips to stop makeup splurges?
Happy Tattooing!

Hot Milk Sponge Cake with Fresh Fruit & Coconut

In today's yummy post we are doing an easy sponge cake (no creaming of butter and sugar involved). Instead of torting this cake we are using two loaf pans to give us our two layers, which we will pull together with vanilla buttercream. I love the rectangular look of this cake rather than the traditional round or square but more importantly the flavors of the toasted coconut on the sides and fresh fruit on top makes for a mouth watering dessert.
