Happy Friday! Volume#9

Who doesn’t love a Friday? It’s the start to the weekend where we beauty lovers can get some more time to indulge in our stashes of beauty items. More so we get maybe some time for ourselves to just do nothing much or something extravagant! It’s also a time for me to share more about me to you that may or may not be beauty related. Feel free to share what you will be up to this weekend. Happy Friday!

Beauty Adventure? I have been trying to control myself from buying too much makeup lately and I have succeeded. I can actually go into the MAC store and not buy one item. Success on my part! But do makeup brushes count as makeup. Not in my book so these new Real techniques brushes were justified right? So far they all feel really soft with the taklon bristles and the starter kit comes with this super fun case that can fold as a stand. I added a stippling brush and powder brush to the mix and the case had two slots for them. Together they all fit nicely in the case which is small enough for my handbag. Double deal!

Plans for the weekend? I’m on vacation!!!!! Can you see me doing a happy dance? The working world topped off with crazy traffic equals stress so I’m taking a week off to enjoy some downtime or uptime shopping. Added bonus of it being Easter time! I can see myself and the girls doing some crazy makeup and nail art.

Something about me? I finally started with my garden. I visited a beautiful plant nursery lately and the blossoms were so lovely and inspiring. My small trough just has some herbs that I can use for cooking. I’m so excited to see them grow.
From left to right: Dill, Purple basil, Green basil and Mint.
Happy Good Friday!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
