Thin Lips Reshaped and My Short Stint as a Face Model for Ephraim Hunt

Hello lovelies! My adventure with makeup continues on from the land of false lashes to reshaped lips. But let’s talk about my short stint as a face model for the talented Ephraim Hunt. So I first saw the ad for face models on their facebook page and didn’t at all expect for me to get chosen. Yippie! Basically it’s really easy; you just have to sit there and they make you pretty, well the makeup students in his class that is.
This week one of his topics was on lips and shaping so I got called in for him to work his magic on my thin lips. Faints! I was so distracted by him working on me that I didn’t get all the steps involved but these are what I remember he did.
-          Prep lips with vitamin e lip balm, loads of it to soften the lips
-          Highlight around lips
-          Line lips with lip liner, blend colour inwards
-          Fill in lips with lip colour using a lip brush
-          Highlight again
I’m sure I missed some crucial steps but anyway here is how they looked before and after. The only problem with my lips is that I have a prominent V in my cupid’s bow so trying to reshape outside of my natural lip line looks rather obvious. In my case, all I can do is bring the line as close to the edge of my lip shape.
Would you believe I was nervous? I guess having a pro work on me can cause such an effect! But he was so kind and professional and he was a great teacher to his students, guiding them when they were doing their makeovers. After his class room session, they all have to do a complete makeover on the face models! This was my finished look, which was just a simple day time look.
Can you see my reshaped brows? They are still not perfect but way better than what they were before! In case you wondering, his studio is in Diego Martin, so that was like a 2 hour drive for me but totally worth it! Do you want to be a face model too? Well what are you waiting on! Go check out their facebook page now!
Happy Face Modelling!
XOXO

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
