Rebellious Eyes

I first discovered Sephora when I went to Toronto a few years ago. Just waltz into the store not knowing it would be a beauty shopping Mecca and fuel my interest into makeup. Even though I haven’t venture into a Sephora store since my first encounter they are still a source of inspiration for me. They currently have up on their website, spring trends 2012 one being which is called rebellious eyes. It’s all black but smoky bringing the colour down a bit. I modified their look by making the eyes look more catlike to suit my eye-shape and making this more rocker chic.
I’m girly bad with my glitter tattoo!
Coastal Scent Go palette Cairo: Matte black
Milani Liquif’eye eyeliner pencil in black
MAC False lashes extreme black mascara
Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
MAC Mineralize Skin-finish Natural in Medium dark
MAC Mineralize Satin-finish foundation in NC 45
MAC Prolongwear Concealer in NC45
Nars Gaiety Blush
L.A. Girl Lipstick in Amour
Will you be rocking any rebellious eyes? It’s a change from my usual pretty ones. Makes me feel to go out and get myself a black lipstick to go all gothic. Any suggestions?
Happy but Rebellious Eyes!

    1. thanks kristen! i love it! actually after i did this one, i really love using black now! before black was the eyeshadow colour i wouldnt use.

    2. I'm with you on that. I've always been scared to use black since I am so fair skinned and don't want to look like a raccoon, lol. But I may have to venture out of my comfort zone. You should definitley use black more often now; it does look great on you! And your hair looks pretty awesome, too.

  7. Wow!Ur skin looks amazing,flawless finish!
I have the same slanted eyes so I know what u mean by altering looks to make the looks stand out more!

    1. Thanks! while i have good skin, makeup makes a huge difference though! hehe. I am slowly discovering looks that suit my eye shape! so come back to see what new ones i find! or of course feel free to share your tips with me!

  8. This makeup is great for a photoshoot! It looks really good on you, I would love to do it on myself as well :)

    1. Oh yes, this version of smoky eyes is not one where i feel i have the courage yet to go out with! Best left for photoshoots until i build up some courage! hehe. Do try and post pics on your blog, I would love to see yours!

  9. Your skin looks so great here. I recently bought the prolongwear concealer as well. So far I'm really liking it. Amour is one of my fav nudes from L.a Girl.

    1. I'm really into nude lips lately! Any recommendations for MAC or Milani nude colours? BTW i got the Milani mandarina! Amazing!!!!!!

  10. Love the hair too-- the whole thing looks great! I finally learned how to do a smokey eye and I am having so much fun with it! I would recommend Bare Escentuals lipgloss in the color "Wild Honey" with a dark eye. It's a really pretty nude with an orange sheen.

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
