Out of the Barren Sands arises NYX Desert Rose

Hello beautiful! I know I am late in discovering many wonderful items made by NYX but hey better late than never right? So this is my first blush from NYX! Do a happy dance for me! I am lately crazy about blushes so why not give one a try. I asked the charming NYX lady from the Long Circular Mall kiosk to help me find a colour that was matte and would be suited for my medium dark skin tone. And like that one blossoming flower you find in a barren desert, the stunning Desert Rose NYX blush revealed itself to me.
Now on first impressions I felt it looked like a medium shade pink but on application it appears more like a berry pink, but beautiful color all the same. It’s a matte blush and extremely pigmented in one swipe. It goes well with my medium dark skin-tone. The wear was excellent, lasted me for most of my work day.
Hey focus on the blush!
I couldn’t be more pleased with this as my first NYX blush and I’m definitely looking out for more shades of these on my next trip to the mall. Hold me back someone!
Happy Blushing!
XOXO
Naomi

  2. I have Silky Rose, Mauve, Mocha, and Pinched. Mocha(gorgeous deep pink) and Pinched(bright pink with gold shimmer) are my all time favorites. I have 3 backups of both. Haha! I'm terrified they're going to be discontinued. I use one or the other everyday. Emilynoel83 from youtube turned me on to them.

Revlon Sculpting Blush Palette in Pink

I have never been so disappointed in a Revlon product before… until now! Maybe I chose the wrong colour for my skin-tone but there are so many other things about this palette that makes me think I should have bought some more lip butters instead. Let’s start with what I do love about the palette. It’s simple black compact that has the same sleek look as the other Revlon photo-ready items. I find a highlighter, contour shade and blush in one palette is a great idea too. Having more blush colour in terms of quantity with smaller sections for the highlighter and contour makes perfect sense since I will use more of the blush anyway. The colours as they appear in the pan look perfectly coordinated to work with each other. You get a small brush with soft bristles in your kit to ensure you can just pop this in your bag and you’re off.  In the sunlight Now here is where it all goes downhill like Jack and Jill with their pail of water. Let’s start with the swatches which made me think twic

Marble Hearts: BCD Nail Art Challenge (Day 13)

Today's challenge utilizes the technique of dry water marbling to create your pattern. I'm doing a twist of it but doing a needle drag i.e using a needle or any fine point for just a smidgen of swirl to the colours used.
